N&C Update #2
(Caleb)
(Nolan)
On Friday night, Caleb graduated to a bassinet too! They are both doing very well with their body temperature regulation, so that is great news. They are also both continuing to gain weight - Caleb is weighing in at 4 lbs 15 oz and Nolan has broken the 5 lb mark coming in at 5lbs 3 oz.
The next big milestone we need to meet is getting them to eat all 8 of their meals without the feeding tube. Yesterday, they were averaging 3-4 without the tube. They are starting to let us know when they are hungry, so that is a step in the right direction as well.
The docs are reluctant to give any estimates as to their discharge date since it is so hard to predict. We're probably a few weeks away...

N&C Update #1
(Mommy with Caleb)
(Daddy with Nolan)
Both boys have gained about 2 ounces each night for the last two nights. They are now both above their birth weights with Nolan at 4 lbs 15 oz and Caleb at 4 lbs 9 oz. They are also making good progress on their body temperature regulation. In fact, Nolan graduated from the incubator/isolette to a bassinet last night. We'll be keeping a close eye on him to make sure he is able to maintain his temperature in the open room, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
No new estimates with regards to when they will get to come home. They are still working on their feeding skills. The doc says that it is really a matter of maturity as opposed to a matter of practice, so we're hoping that it will just start to click for them very soon.

Osheroff boys are here!!
We are pleased to announce the (early) arrival of our amazing twin boys - Nolan Maksim Osheroff and Caleb Steven Osheroff
They are both doing well, but being 5 weeks early, they need to spend some time in the hospital learning how to feed and regulate their temperatures before they can come home. We are hoping to bring the boys home in the next 1-2 weeks.
